I, (or if you are under the age of 18, your parents/ guardian), hereby indemnify Horizon Tennis and staff from any responsibility and/or claim for any possible injury, damage or loss during my attendance at tennis training or use of facilities and agree to the outlined Terms and Conditions.

Entrants authorise Horizon Tennis to obtain medical assistance, treatment and transport as deemed reasonably necessary by Horizon Tennis staff and acknowledge that they will be responsible for any costs associated with any such medical treatment and/or transportation.

Entrants must behave appropriately and follow the lawful directions of Horizon Tennis and its staff at all times. Derogatory comments, abusive language and inappropriate or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.

If an entrant causes any damage to Horizon Tennis property, they must make good the damage.

Horizon Tennis reserves the right to refuse entry to any person or remove any person from Horizon Tennis.

Entrants are responsible for their own property at all times. Horizon Tennis does not accept any responsibility for any property that is stolen, lost or damaged in the Horizon Tennis facilities.

Parent/Guardian Involvement

Under normal circumstances, Parents/Guardians are encouraged to watch, however due to COVID-19 restrictions the school facilities where Horizon Tennis operates are restricting parent access to parents on school grounds. This means that parents will need to drop off and collect their children from the nearest public entry point of the school where tennis is being played and not stay for the duration of the tennis lesson. This policy may feel extreme, but it is set for these extraordinary times, and we must abide by this policy to continue to operate safely. Horizon Tennis feels that it is extremely important that only positive reinforcement is used by players, and our coaches.

Public Holiday closures:
Coaching and Fixtures DO NOT go ahead on Queensland public holidays but DO go ahead on student free days. Horizon Tennis reserves the right to reschedule classes due to school run events which require the use of tennis facilities on school property during regularly scheduled class times when notice is received from the school.

Wet Weather and Extreme Heat

If it is raining or looks like it is going to rain, An official decision is made:

• 30mins prior to all Group Classes, Private Lessons and Fixtures.

Whilst every step is taken to arrive at the correct decision, please remember Horizon Tennis has no control over the weather. In the event of a lesson being washed out, please book in for a make up lesson with Horizon Tennis.
We will be sending SMS communication to the primary contact. Replies are not received to text message alerts, alternatively you call or text 0491707565 for a reply.

For days when the temperature is at or above 34 degrees or is expected to be at time of play: Regularly scheduled classes will be held at a reduced pace, however it is at the parent’s discretion whether their child will play and can opt to book a makeup on days such as this. Children who experience any symptoms of unwell (dizziness, light-headedness, nausea, vomiting, or faint) during an especially hot day are encouraged to stop play, to sit in shade, and the parent of the child will be contacted by SMS for pick up.

If the forecast exceeds 34 degrees up to one hour before play is due to commence for a match play or competition, play may be cancelled and communicated as broadly as possible to all parents and participants. Credits will be available for use in future classes, camps, or products (credits issued for competition, leagues or special events only).

Please do not make assumptions about the weather; an unexplained absence will forfeit the opportunity for a make up lesson if the session goes ahead.
